Application Deadlines

The deadline for the Spring Semester is November 1 .  

The application deadline for the Bard-Smolny Summer Language Intensive is March 15th. 

The application deadline for the Fall Semester and academic year is April 1. 

The Bard-Smolny Program works on the basis of rolling admissions.   You are encouraged to apply in advance of the deadline.  

Passport and Visa

To secure your visa, Bard-Smolny must have an electronic copy of your passport at time of application. If you don’t have a passport or if it will expire less than 18 months after the end of the program, we ask that you apply for or renew your passport now.  Your passport must also have at least two blank pages.  Please contact smolny@bard.edu with questions.

Language Assessments
Applicants are required to undergo a Russian language placement testing.  The assessment must be submitted prior to submitting your formal application.  Please contact Bard/IILE at smolny@bard.edu to obtain the assessment or for more details.

Application Forms
