In this online workshop, we will share some tips on how to apply to PhD programs in art history in the United States. We will discuss the application process—selecting universities and programs, submitting your materials, and searching for funding options. We will also discuss the distinctive features of the art history discipline in the United States—the differences between graduate programs in art history in the US and Russia, professional qualities and experience that would make your application stand out. The workshop is based on a personal experience of applying to PhD programs after getting BA and MA in Art History from Smolny. It also can be useful for those who consider applying to other graduate programs in the humanities. (The workshop will be held in Russian)
